Harris Products Group Introduces New Hydrocarbon Gas Cylinder Jackets
Mason, Ohio (July 15, 2019) -- The Harris Products Group, a world leader in the design, development, and manufacture of cutting, welding, brazing, and soldering equipment, consumables and gas distribution systems, has introduced hydrocarbon gas cylinder jackets as part of its expanded specialty gas product line.
The Harris cylinder jacket is designed to maintain elevate the temperature of mixed hydrocarbon gas components in applications where higher concentrations of the heavy components reduce the top pressure of the standard, elevated temperature equals elevated pressure such as natural gas pipelines. The jacket prevents the hydrocarbon mixtures from dropping below their dew point, stratifying and insulating the content from lower temperatures to prevent condensing. This jacket allows the hydrocarbon gas to stay in a homogenous state its mixture state.
The gas cylinder jacket is constructed of a silicon-impregnated fiberglass liner and polyester exterior to provide superior protection from the elements, and features a self-limiting heated cable to prevent overheating. Fluoropolymer over the jacket protects the heat cable from corrosion. The D-rings have Velcro® lines for snug closures to maintain heat. All materials are approved by UL® for Class 1 Division 2, Group B, C, and D hazardous locations.
Harris has substantially invested in its operations to provide turnkey distribution solutions in the gas specialty area. With engineering design, manufacturing, testing and fulfillment done onsite, Harris is delivering the full spectrum of in-stock and customized products, with exceptional speed.
